Asylum Bound
Ashford Asylum isn’t a place just for any patient. When Thalia is forced into the place by her wicked brother in a desperate attempt to steal her inheritance, she realizes that she just might belong here, just not in any way that she could have possibly imagined.

My Thoughts
So this book really started off with a bang and I wanted so much from this book. Yes, it was good, but it kind of fell flat because there was so much inneduos and not enough evidence to explain what was actually going down…
I was just thrown off by the lack of details. The story line almost felt like plot points and not a developed or executed storyline. There were so many sprinkles of this amazing and paranormal world and just no true explanation of it all! I just needed more. There were so many scenes that I really liked, but would be very disappointed because sometimes they would end nowhere or didn’t make sense all together. I just loved the concept of the book and was so disappointed on how it turned out.
I found all the characters Thaila’s deer in the headlights attitude made and broke the book for me. I just thought it took too long for her to get it together and her character fell flat. I liked that she had a backbone and I applauded her, but I wanted to take her, shake her and tell her that she needed to get her crap together. She could also get a little whiny and that always bothers me.
Overall, the end left me wanted more so I’m going to continue and I hope I get the answers I need.

My Thoughts
UGHHHHHH what the h*ll! That’s all I get?!?! I am straight up angry at how this book ended. I got none of the answers I wanted and I’m just overall confused on what just happened.
I loved the concept of this book so much, but it just went nowhere. I mean what the h*ll?!? That ending was such an awful slap in my face! The story is so unique and I wanted so much out of it and that ending was so confusing and just didn’t make any sense! This second book was starting to make the series more understandable and then the villain came literally out of left field! Also the boys in this book were meh. I mean they were intriguing and I wanted more, but there wasn’t any explanation of their characters or what made them them. I also wanted there to be more time spent between them and Thalia. I mean it’s a romance…. Where was the romance?!? There was one steamy scene, but it faded to black….. WHAT!?!?!
Thalia got better with time and she actually surprised me on how much I loved her. She deserved so much more than the story gave her and it made me so mad that it had to end this way. SO RUDE.
I’m still mad, but hopefully a new book will make me happy again.
