Now, with that said, I like rockstar romances as much as the next girl, but in terms of romance this read was all talk and NO action. Usually I’m saying that there is not enough build up and I want more sexual tension, but this read was almost too much and it kinda was a drag to read in some parts. After reading so many dark romances, I think I have become so deranged that this story was way too vanilla for me. I kept waiting and waiting and WAITING for the steam to arrive, but it just never came. I mean this story is about a sex addicted rockstar for goodness sake…. After a LOT of build up and a lot of bubble baths on the main characters part, finally, at 79% of my ebook, we FINALLY got some steam. It was sooooo good. However, making me wait until 79% for some steam in a romance novel… that’s just ridiculous and I’m a little too old for this.

I mean don’t get me wrong. I liked the story and most of the characters so it wasn’t bad or anything. I just like what I like and sometimes waiting for something is a little too much for my bratty self. The story overall was really cute and sweet, but it was just a LONG road to get there. It was all build up, just a teensy bit of romance, and major heartache and misunderstanding, and then a teensy bit of romance again. I just wanted a litttttle more of the honeymoon period please.

I also had a wee bit of a difficult time with the characters too…. There were good, but not my favorite. I mean Simon, that was supposed to be a bad boy, how did he change so fast and without much prompting? It didn’t make any sense. Yes, I know I shouldn’t expect a lot to make sense in a romance novel, but still…… I mean I really liked his character and thought his antics and dialogue were HILARIOUS, but his sudden change just didn’t make sense. I also wasn’t the biggest fan of Myka. I mean I liked her, but I thought for someone so tough and all she sure did cry in front of people A LOT. I mean I think she cried at least four times in public…… That just didn’t make sense to me…..

However, the ending did end up being very heartfelt and very sweet and made me swoon in all the ways. So I did enjoy this book in the end. I also will NEVER look at a piano without getting a little flutter in my box. (I didn’t understand why the main character referred to her girly bits as a box…. Use a different word please!)
