My Thoughts

I’ve been absolutely DYING for this next installment to the Gild series and when it finally came…. I didn’t want to touch it. It sat in my library for a month and I opened it so many times, but couldn’t read it because I was so scared that my babies wouldn’t have a happy ending or it wouldn’t meet all my expectations….

Also…. I didn’t remember a lot from when I binged it last year sooooo I reread the entire series and then I read this… andddddd

OMG IT WAS AMAZING! It met all my expectations and then some!

Auren… omgggggg she is a badass queen, but she comes into her own and it is GLORIOUS. She finally comes to start to love herself and who she really is and it was such a beautiful thing to see. Although she has a LOT more growing to do, I love reading more and more of her journey and I can’t wait where she will go next.

We find more background on Slade and boy is it sooooooooo intriguing and it really rounded out the book world for me. I loved seeing his perspective more and more because we get more of his vulnerability and his amazing thoughts that we don’t always get to see through Auren’s perspective. His past also helped me understand his choices from previous books and it also explained a LOT about the book world.

We also got other perspectives that I didn’t know I needed and it was also glorious.

Oh… and the steam is TOP NOTCH… Like filthy and amazing and FANNING MYSELF THE ENTIRE TIME STUPENDOUS.

However….

This book made me so mad I could spit. (Raven Kennedy is trying to kill us with all these twists and turns. I swear.)

We finally get what we want anddddd this book world and their jealous buttheads just pee all over it…. REALLY!?!?!

Alsoo…. That ending is also RUDDDDEEEEEEE like soooooooooo rude. I want to cry just thinking about it.

Overall, THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING AND SUCH A WONDERFUL ADDITION TO THE SERIES…
