My Thoughts
This is by far one of my favorite series of all time. I just am so in love with everything that this series has to offer and am so heartbroken that it is over. I honestly can’t believe that the series is over, I read it so quickly and I want to kick myself because it was over so much faster than I wanted it to be.
I want to recommend this amazing series to every single reader that loves romance because it was everything you wanted and then some. There was suspense, an engaging plot, a dramatic book world, hilarious and complex characters, twists and turns, and such wonderful moments. I honestly could not tell you my top favorite parts because there were just so many good ones in this book! UGH! WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE OVER! I’m still not over it and I finished it three days ago.
First of all, the main character, Eclipse or Lips, is my favorite heroine now! (Sorry Aelin from Throne of Glass) She is just such a badass character in every way possible. She is the bravest person I’ve ever read at her age level. She is also extremely honest with herself and everyone else. Boy does she tell it like it is and it makes me laugh every single time. She will also admit her faults and try to be better. She also brings out the best in others without acting like a doormat. I could go on and on about how amazing this character is (I have the biggest girl crush on her), but the best thing about this girl is how frickin strong she is. Omg she has been through every horror you could possibly imagine, but she still gets up and does whatever she can to succeed. I am honestly in awe of this brilliant human. She is my hero for sure!
The boys in this book were just so perfect. Honestly I loved every single thing about them and I’m bitter that I don’t get more time with my loves. Harley was definitely my favorite, but it was a very slight difference between the other two. They were fierce, growly, possessive, sexy, and hilarious and Lips is such a lucky girl. Once they stopped being assholes, they were the best boyfriends a girl could have and I am so jealous, but happy that Lips got some sort of happiness in her life.
The only chick I wasn’t really with was Avery. I mean I liked her and she was a good friend to Lips once she realized that Lips was amazing. I just was a little annoyed with her and everyone acted like she was going to collapse every time something bad happened. I mean she had a very crappy life similar to Lips, but I guess I was more empathetic to Lips than her because of the way she treated her in the beginning. I also was a little annoyed that Avery continually was making Lips feel bad for being intimate with her men. Good friends don’t stop their friends from sex. However, the friendship between Lips and Avery was hilarious! They would make an amazing couple for sure!
The plot of this series was also SOOOOO GOOD! I was on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE series and I thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest most of the time. The 12 dynamic and the gangs were just so interesting and I was equally intrigued and horrified at the same time. The members were all very complex and brought such an amazing dynamic to the plot. UGH I wish I could read this series for the first time again. There was undoubtedly no predictability in this series and every book had a cliffhanger that was worse than the first hence why I binged the series in two days!
I could talk about this book all day, but I don’t want to give any more away so I’m going to end it now. Overall this series was amazing and everyone that loves romances, gang romances, badass women, and a kick ass plot should definitely dig into this series!
