Hook, Line, and Sinker
King crab fisherman Fox Thornton has a reputation as a sexy, carefree flirt. Everyone knows he’s a guaranteed good time–in bed and out–and that’s exactly how he prefers it. Until he meets Hannah Bellinger. She’s immune to his charm and looks, but she seems to enjoy his… personality? And wants to be friends? Bizarre. But he likes her too much to risk a fling, so platonic pals it is.
Now, Hannah’s in town for work, crashing in Fox’s spare bedroom. She knows he’s a notorious ladies’ man, but they’re definitely just friends. In fact, she’s nursing a hopeless crush on a colleague and Fox is just the person to help with her lackluster love life. Armed with a few tips from Westport’s resident Casanova, Hannah sets out to catch her coworker’s eye… yet the more time she spends with Fox, the more she wants him instead. As the line between friendship and flirtation begins to blur, Hannah can’t deny she loves everything about Fox, but she refuses to be another notch on his bedpost.
Living with his best friend should have been easy. Except now she’s walking around in a towel, sleeping right across the hall, and Fox is fantasizing about waking up next to her for the rest of his life and… and… man overboard! He’s fallen for her, hook, line, and sinker. Helping her flirt with another guy is pure torture, but maybe if Fox can tackle his inner demons and show Hannah he’s all in, she’ll choose him instead?

My Thoughts
I was soooooo excited for this read after the craziness of the first book. I loved the first book so much because it was just so ridiculous and I could NOT stop laughing.
Piper Bellinger was such a fun and fabulous character that I absolutely loved. We also got to know Hannah too and I couldn’t wait to see what crazy antics she would get into on her journey of love. However, this book was completely different from what I expected. That is not a bad thing and I loved this book a lot, but it wasn’t what I expected after that first part.
Hannah and Fox’s love story was definitely more sweet than funny. I was sort of missing those funny parts because that was what made the first book so good to me. I guess that’s what I get for assuming right?
DON’T GET ME WRONG AT ALL, I loved this book, this love story was beautiful and heartfelt, and the characters made me go awe and my loins burn. This book had all the elements of an AMAZING contemporary romance, but I was expecting Piper and Brendan part two and that’s my own fault. Piper and Hannah are not the same, I needed to remind myself of that a couple times.
With that said…..
Hannah and Fox’s love story was so BEAUTIFUL. OMGGGGG. The will they or won’t they drove me crazy in the best way. It also led to such goooood sexual tension and yummy angst.
I loved watching these flawed and lovable characters grow into themselves because of the encouragement of the other. I got all the yummy butterflies and all the yummy banter I could possibly want… The fact that Hannah and Fox speak through music, made me so teary eyed, I felt like such a blubber baby.
Overall, although I was missing some laughs, this book was sooooo damn cute and a perfect contemporary romance to add to your collection!
