My Thoughts
I’ve had this book on my shelf for a while and I thought it would be a perfect book choice for the month of February. This book was such a cute and heartwarming romance that it gave me all the warm and fuzzies.
I have loved this author since high school and it was so fun to be back to reading her cute and hilarious writing. Her characters are always hilarious and have very chaotic and a little bit OCD behaviors and dialogue very similar to Lorelai from Gilmore Girls. It always cracks me up and this book was no different! The plot was very fast paced and there were so many different antics that went on and on and it just made me in the best mood.
Fixie was such a fun character and her crazy antics could make anyone laugh. It was just so much fun to read. Her story was also completely relatable because a lot of people have been in her position both in romance and in family. I felt so bad for Fixie and felt extremely overwhelmed by her erratic thoughts. Her mind moves a mile a minute and it was crazy! Poor girl! Although I loved that girl, there were some points where I just wanted to choke her and scream at her for waiting sooooooooooo long to grow a backbone. However, when it FINALLY HAPPENED, I was so happy and cheering that sweet girl on!
I also loved all the hilarious characters surrounding this quirky girl. They were so interesting to read about and I just loved it! Her family was really a piece of work and I don’t know how she didn’t snap a long time ago, but she has the patience of a saint honestly. Sebastian was such a cute fictional boyfriend and I just loved the dynamic between the two of them. It was ADORABLE. While the romance was very cute, I wish there had been a little more time between Fixie and Seb, but I’m satisfied with what I got.
This was the cutest romance and it was such a delight to read!
