My Thoughts

I am so grateful to have received this book as an ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed this short and sweet romance and I cannot wait for more! If you are into friends to lovers romances and something quick and easy to read, this book is the choice for you!

I loved the story and I loved the characters so much! This couple I was so rooting for! Sometimes I can find friends to lovers romances to be frustrating and a little dull, but these characters are such good and kind people. Even though I wanted to shake them and yell at them to bone already, I enjoyed the delayed gratification. Once they got there, it was super steamy and everything I wanted.

The story was told through multiple perspectives which was a delight for me, but I felt like we got so much of Shaye’s perspective and not enough of Boone’s. I mean I enjoyed Shaye’s perspective, but sometimes Boone’s was a little redundant and I kept feeling like I was having deja vu. The story was fun to read, but I wish that the plot was a little more drawn out and there was a little more build up and development of the characters. I just wanted more and I’m depressed a little.

I loved the characters so much! Shaye was such a strong and lovable character. She was thrown into such a sticky situation and she pulled through and came out on top! This girl is awesome and someone we all should admire. I also really loved Boone. Oh he was such a delicious specimen and he made such a yummy love interest. I cannot wait to see more of him.

The ending kind of killed me. We finally got a little morsel of some steam and then it WAS OVER! UGH now I have to wait and it is SO depressing. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
