My Top 5 Reads of April

This month contained so many amazing reads that I had such a hard time choosing five of them to highlight. I managed to read 28 books this month and shave some off my TBR, yay me! Although it was a tough decision to choose, I chose these five books as my favorite of the month.

Realm of Flames by M. Sinclair

This is the third in the Reborn series of M. Sinclair and I are just in love and want more and more. I have been waiting for this third book for so long and I was so happy with how it turned out. The main character Maya definitely reminds me of Poppy from the Blood and Ash series and she just makes me laugh. The men of this harem are just so delicious and I can’t wait for more time with them. M. Sinclair never disappoints me and this read was no different. I cannot wait to read the next book because DAMN that ending just about murdered me. SUCH A CRAZY CLIFFHANGER!

If anyone is looking for a paranormal reverse harem series, make sure to pick up this series!

Pastel Pink by Nikki Minty

I was so lucky to gain access to this read through an ARC from NetGalley and boy was it good. This book combines two of my favorite genres in an amazing plot. There are two dueling book worlds that just hit it out of the park and I am just in awe of it all. There was an air of mystery, science fiction, and dystopian dynamics that kept me very entertained until the very end. I also am a big fan of the characters. There were so many amazing twists and turns included in this  crazy tale and it ended on a cliffhanger that I did not expect! I was lucky to receive the second book as an ARC from NetGalley and I can’t wait to read it next month!

Morning Star by Pierce Brown

Well, y’all know I love this series, but this conclusion was just top notch. This book gave me so many heart attacks and I yet again threw the book in frustration. This read made me cry, made me laugh, and made me have all the feelings that I wanted to explode! Mr. Brown likes to make his reader scream both in happiness and in terror and this man ALMOST did me wrong, but it was fixed, thank god. I got to read this book with some of my favorites and I loved getting their thoughts as well because I desperately needed to talk to someone about this crazy whirlwind of a plot. UGH so many heart attacks. IF you haven’t started this series, do it now, you won’t regret it, I promise.

Make My Move by J. Bree

OH I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS BOOK FOR SO LONG! The author kept pushing the publication date back and it killed my soul each time. Oh have I missed Lips, her sexy men, and her crazy gangster world. This book was the plot of the second book told through the boys perspective and it was everything I wanted and more. Not only did I get these boys’ hilarious thoughts, I got more background and more understanding of themselves and their lives before Lips graced their presence. I just love them so much more now. I also got to see Lips through someone else’s eyes and I WAS SO HERE FOR IT! Ugh it was so good and worth the wait.

The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Oh man. This read was one of my favorites, not of the month, but of the year. OH IT WAS SO GOOD IN ALL THE WAYS POSSIBLE! JLA has created a masterpiece of a book world and cast of characters that everyone is drooling over. She deserves a fricken standing ovation. This book was amazing and everything I wanted. Poppy, Casteel, and Kieran just make my heart sing and swoon in all ways. This series is just so amazing I can’t even explain, if you don’t understand, read the damn series already because you are missing out for sure!
