My Top Five Reads of February

This month has been a little crazy and I bit off more than I could chew with my monthly TBR. I didn’t get to read all my picks up I think 22 books is a good effort. I read so many great books, but these five were my favorites of the month!

Den of Vipers by K.A. Knight

I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long time and I’m so glad I finally did!! This book was DARKKKK, but I was so into it and I ventured into a level of kink that I have never before. IT WAS AMAZING. This book featured such an amazing badass female and her four sexy men. I adored all the characters so much and the suspense in this book was amazing.

Although this book was a standalone, not always my favorite, it honestly was perfect the way it was. Everything wrapped up so nicely and made sense for the characters and the plot. This was probably my favorite read of the month and I can’t wait to read more books by this amazing author!

A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

I’ve been waiting for this book for so so SOOOO LONG and when it was finally here, I could not be more excited. Although I was a little slow to read because I was so nervous it wasn’t going to meet up with the overwhelming hype, I finally read it and it was AMAZING.

Ms. Maas took her level of steam to a whole other stratosphere with this book and the characters were so powerful and raw. Nesta irritated the shit out of me sometimes and I wanted to shake her, but we got to see a different and much more vulnerable side that I just loved. She may be spiky, but she’s like a cactus, she has some jelly inside. Cassian is still my first love, sorry Rhys, so I loved seeing his perspective and getting his happily ever after!

This book was SO worth the wait!!

If I Had Your Face by Frances Cha

This book was such an amazing look at the life of women in the city of Seoul, Korea. This book surprised me in so many ways and I loved getting to know a new culture and some very interesting characters. This book was such a wonderful delight and when I thought it was going to be a depressing and devastating read, it turned around and showed the strength and perseverance of women.

I loved to venture into a place I have always wanted to travel to and it was such a great book to show the bond of female friendship. The characters all had a perspective on each other and the care for one another was very clear and very sweet. I enjoyed this book so much and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James

This is a book that I’ve heard many mixed reviews about this book so I was a little nervous about it. However, I was shocked by how much I loved this read and it probably my favorite thriller I’ve read in a long time. There were so many twists and turns in this book and though I found something just a little predictable, I loved it.

The book was told in multiple perspectives and different timelines and I thought that added such suspense and a sense of creepiness. IT WAS AMAZING!! The setting also was so good and I will forever enjoy a haunted and creepy hotel. If you need a new and wonderful thriller, pick up this book right NOW!

King of Fools by Amanda Foody

So I thought the first book was amazing, this second book blew the first one out of the water!! OMG, the suspense, the characters, the romance, the setting, just got more and more amazing. I loved getting to know more about this amazing book world and even more characters than I met before. The plot was an even crazier ride than the first and I absorbed the entire thing in one day!

Enne became such a badass in this book and I enjoyed watching her grow and prosper. She makes the coolest gangster and Levi can go away. I can’t wait to see the end result of this series because I honestly have no idea where it can go.
