Gorgeous. Fiery. A cheerleader so far out of my league it’s 𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 that I even fantasize about her.

I need to find a way to shut down the dirty thoughts she inspires before it’s too late. If I don’t, this whole new life of mine is at risk.

OMG THIS BOOK…. I mean it started off slow in a way where I thought, “I don’t know about you,” but it slowly grew on me until it made me explode in happiness.

These characters took me a minute to truly dig, but when I did, I fell in love with them and their funny and crazy story. Quinn Thompson sounded ABSOLUTELY crazy at first, but she slowly grew on me and I was rooting for her and her dreams. However, I felt she could be a little too needy sometimes and it wasn’t really my cup of tea. I get that she was really into him, but her behavior made me cringe just a little….

Now… CK… he made me so annoyed at some points, but in the end I was also rooting for him and his relationship with Quinn. I felt that sometimes he treated Quinn in a way she didn’t deserve because of his past traumas. That really irked me especially because we knew, through her perspective, how much she really liked him. I just wanted to shake him sometimes and tell him to get over himself.

However, around like 100 pages into the book, he was a good contender for book boyfriend for me.

OH and their steam WAS SO HOT! OMG! I’m glad I had my drag queen fan next to me while I was reading because DAMN their under the pants tango was scorching!

This book was part of the #UofJ series and was the fourth book of the series; however, it can be read as a standalone.

I haven’t read any of the other books in the series, so I wasn’t as connected with the characters as someone who had read the entire series. Therefore, I didn’t really care about them or their weird antics so that was an annoyance for me sometimes. BUT, that is because I haven’t read any other books in series, I think if I had, I would feel differently.

Overall, this friends to lovers book was a great slow burn and a great way to start off 2022!
