OOOOOOOO J. Bree…. I see what you did there…. You took a slow burn to a whole other level and although I kinda hate you for it, I also am obsessed with you and fell for it. Hook, line, and sinker… Youuuuu smart cookie!

So if you have been reading my reviews… you know that I was kind of disappointed with the first book of this series and was super sad about it…. WELLLLLLL… this sequel proved me so wrong and I am awfully sorry about it.. This sequel answered ALLLLLLL of my crazy and annoying questions, developed the characters to the extreme and made me fall in love with this unique and detailed supernatural world!

Although the magic system is still just a little bit confusing, we get to see a lot more action in this book so it all kind of evens out. The powers that some of these characters have are so flipping cool and I can’t wait to read more about them. We definitely got a big bite, but I would like to finish the entire cake thank you because I ain’t on NO diet (actually I am, but not figuratively…) The way this author wrote about these powers was just so cool and it gave me such a vivid picture in my head and I WANT MORE DARNIT! I also got to understand a lot more about the bond and how it works and it is much more complex and unique than I was expecting…. I really really REALLY enjoyed it.

Also, all the characters became a lot more vivid to me and I can’t decide what character I liked more. Thank goodness it is a reverse harem because there are just so many good options. We get a lot more time with these gentlemen, but I just want more DAMNIT….

Oh and remember how I said that Oleander was not Lips and I was disappointed…. Hahahaha J. Bree got me good. She is, yes, a different character than my girl, but I really ended up loving her and she became much more understandable. All of the pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together and she is a much stronger character than I thought. I feel like J. Bree is playing tricks on me, but I am definitely okay with it because it keeps life entertaining!

Also……. THERE IS SOME GOOD STEAM PEOPLE….

Overall, forget what I said about the first one and just stick with it, you won’t regret it… I promise!
