    Top 5 September Reads

I managed to read so many great books this month! I don’t know how I can choose, but these five books shocked me, made me laugh, made me cry and are books I will NEVER forget! Have you read any of these?  I am Dressed in Sin by C.M. Stunich  OMG…. I have been waiting for this read for sooooo long! It had been so long that I had to reread the first book to remember what happened before I read the second book. However, once I caught up, I just dove right in and devoured the entire read in one night. The main character just gets better and better…

Horseman: A Tale of Sleepy Hollow

In the town of Sleepy Hollow, everyone knows the tale of the Horseman, but when 14 year old Ben Van Brunt discovers a body in the woods, it leads him on a path of discovery and heartbreak.  My Thoughts  Thank you so much to NetGalley and the author for this ARC in exchange for an honest review! The movie with Johnny Depp came out and I was…

    Red Queen Review

Summary Alice and Hatcher have ventured out from Old City and are on the path to happily ever after, or so they thought. I honestly thought that this book wasn’t going to have the same zip as the first because the first was just so outrageous, but I was wrong. This book was different from  Alice because it took that darkness and that drama and went into more depth with the main characters.  The setting of this…

    Alice Review

Summary When Alice was sixteen, she went to a tea party with her friend in the Old City. Next thing she knew, she was home covered in blood and her friend was gone. Now she is stuck in a hospital screaming about the Rabbit that did her wrong. Will she ever find out what happened at that silly tea party?  My Thoughts  So Alice in Wonderland is probably one of my favorite books of all time and I am always a sucker for a retelling of it. I picked up this book on a whim while browsing the shelves at Barnes and Noble and I am so happy I did.…
