    Firekeeper’s Daughter

Summary Daunis Fontaine’s birth was anything but ordinary and has forced her to be lost between two different worlds. However, when a tragedy takes place in one of her worlds, Daunis will be forced to confront her past and her future. My Thoughts  So let me start this review off with a confession. I went into this book completely blind. I had no idea what it was about and I straight up thought it was a fantasy. I saw it a few times on Bookstagram and thought the cover was amazing, but after Touch of Darkness, I feel like I’ve burned just a few too many times by a good…

    S.T.A.G.S.

Summary St. Aidan the Great School (S.T.A.G.S) is one of the best boarding schools in England. Only children from the best families enter and they all walk away with acceptances to the most elite universities. Greer MacDonald was one of the lucky students to receive a scholarship, but will her position put her in a bad place with the students?  My Thoughts  I bought this book as a drunk Book Outlet purchase and when I got it, I put it on my shelf and kind of forgot about it. I mean I got it for five dollars on Book Outlet so I wasn’t too worried about it. However, this month…

    Emma in the Night

Summary Three years ago, the Tanner sisters went out and never came back. Three years pass and one sister comes back and the other doesn’t. When she comes back, it not only solves the mystery of their disappearance, but the mysteries surrounding their very interesting family dynamics. My Thoughts  I’ve had this Book of the Month pick on my shelf for a long time, but since I haven’t read a thriller in a while, I decided to finally pick it up. IT WAS SO GOOD and it blew my mind in the best way possible. It was a mixture of so many different things and they all blended together to…

    The Lost Village

Summary In 1959, Alice’s Lindstedt’s grandmother’s entire family disappeared and she was left lost and all alone. Years later Alice, who has been obsessed with the place her grandmother came from, has decided to make a documentary about the village and find out the secrets her grandmother has been keeping. My Thoughts  This buddy read was one for the books and I was shook, creeped out, and horrified. It was a very slow and extended read into the mouth of a spider’s web. I kept thinking I was crazy as I was listening and when nothing happened, I just kept on questioning myself and my thoughts. Although I really liked…

    Good Neighbors

Summary In a Long Island suburb, on Maple Street, the Wilde family moved to start a new life. They expected friendly and educated neighbors that would welcome them with pies and street bbqs. However, a sink hole appears and Maple Street turns into a dangerous place for the Wilde family. My Thoughts  This book is why the idea of suburbia scares people. Suburbia can be such an amazing thing where families can thrive in a happy and healthy dynamic. However, suburbia can also become such a powerful and terrifying way for people to come and hate one another because of the tiniest difference. Good Neighbors is a prime example on…

Summary In Fells New York, there is a roadside motel. Viv Delaney starts to work there as a desk clerk in 1982 to save up to move to New York City and disappears one day. Carly Kirk hears about the mystery of the Sun Down decades later and must be the one to solve the mystery. My Thoughts  I’ve heard a lot of mix reviews about this thriller, but I really want to read it because the synopsis just sounded so intriguing to me. I love a good motel thriller and this one met all my expectations and more! I loved this book so much and was so happy that…

    Our Kind of Cruelty Review

Summary Mike Hayes loves Verity Metcalf. He has done everything he can to be her perfect Eagle. So what if she doesn’t answer his messages and is going to marry someone else. This is just a wicked game and they will have their happy ending.  My Thoughts  Wow, this took the idea of You and took it to a whole new level!!! Wow, what the actual f**k?!?! This book took me to so many insane places that I’m actually questioning my sanity to this day. From the synopsis of the book, I thought it would be your typical stalker thriller. It was not, it was so much more than that. …
