The Butcher of Mounts Bay kills for money and he is the best at what he does. He also doesn’t give a damn until he takes a job that makes him catch feelings he never thought he would have.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG THE BUTCHER OF THE BAY ONCE OWNED MY HEART BUT HE NOW HAS MY SOUL! This prequel is absolutely and completely necessary for any fan of the Hannaford Prep series to sink their teeth into. This book was so good!

The story is told in the eyes of the Butcher beginning in the time before Lips even applied to Hannaford Prep and it was oh so good. We finally got to see everyone and not just from Lips or her boy’s perspective. Matteo is just so much worse than I even imagined and it was disturbing, but awesome to see because I know what happened to him. Through Ili’s eyes, we get to see what the bay was like before Lips fixed everything and boy was it so much worse than I thought. It just made me love Lips more. However, the Lips and Matteo moments were so hard to watch. I’m soooooo glad they took care of that jerk!

Illi is the coolest thing since sliced bread in my opinion. He is hilarious, he is bloodthirsty, he is sexy and I LOVED getting his perspective. He is so much darker than I thought and I was so into it. Odie also was such a wonderful character. I am so glad we got her perspective as well outside of her being Illi’s wife. She is a badass.

Overall, this book may be a little triggering for some, but it was OH SO GOOD!

OMG THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD AND I DIDN’T WANT IT TO END! It had so many wonderfully steamy and bloodthirsty moments that only the Butcher of Mounts Bay could provide.

The dynamic between Illi and Odie just got better and better over this read and their steam was OH SO FRICKEN GOOD! I just loved them together so much and it brought tears to my eyes that they finally found each other and have some sort of peace. This book was a wild ride from beginning to end and provided so much more insight for the dynamics of the crazy world of Mounts Bay. We got to know the twelve from more angles and got more insight of the Boar’s MC. I am such a huge fan of any motorcycle gang and had so many questions about the characters from the MC in this world and we never really got to see anything about it. However, now that I want a taste, I just want more DAMNIT!

These characters have just ensnared me and just won’t let me go. However, it’s okay because kidnapping is my love language according to my dark romance obsession…. Oh well! Odie and Illi hit a whole new rhythm and they went towards the darker side and I was here for it. I was cheering for them and their revenge tour. I loved that Odie was just as obsessed with the hearts as much as Illi and it was so beautiful.

I am so grateful to this author for writing us this amazing prequel and making it so much better than ever imagined!
