Ace of Shades

My Thoughts:

OMG THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!!!!!!! I’m obsessed and so angry that I haven’t read this book before now!

Wow was this book good. I binged this entire read within a few hours because I just needed to know what was going to happen next. I inhaled every page like it was my last and I regret absolutely nothing.

The book world was just so awesome. The gangs and the plot twists reminded me of a magical Godfather without that pesky horse in the bed. There was murder, intrigue, magic, dancing, and romance perfect for any fantasy reader. The characters were also extremely intriguing and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

The ending tore apart my insides and I actually broke one of my rules for 2021 in order to read the next one. I can’t wait!

King of Fools

My Thoughts:

OMG WAS THIS SEQUEL INSANE!! It was a crazy roller coaster of emotions and it ended up truly breaking me. My soul hurts and I can’t wait for more.

I honestly didn’t think this series could get any more insane, but surprise surprise, it did. It was awesome!! The suspense and the intricacy of the plot got even more intense than the first which I honestly didn’t think was possible! All the gang politics were extremely fascinating to me and I really enjoyed finding my way through the very intricate web of it all.

The characters in this book were also so good and grew on me more and more. Enne started off a little weak for my taste and relied on others that I don’t think she should have, but when she got into her groove, she was such a powerful and loveable MC. Levi pissed me off so much in this sequel and I take back that I would snog him. He disappointed me and I wanted to hit him on more than one occasion. We also got to meet and get better acquainted with the side characters and I fell in love with them as well.

The ending of this sequel was something that I did NOT see coming and I can’t wait to continue onto the finale!

Queen of Volts

My Thoughts:

This book was nothing like what I expected. I really loved how it turned out and how everything landed into place, but OMG IT TOOK SO LONG TO GET THERE!!!

These characters were all EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! They were all very self absorbed at times and spent too much time in their own heads that it could drive me up the wall at certain points. Yes, I love them and they will all have a special place in my black heart, but oy vey, they needed a good shake at times.

Enne, yes I loved her, but she reverted back to her old ways and it annoyed me. Levi made me so angry and I thought he was a butt for a majority of the book. Lola also was annoying because of her irritating holier than thou attitude. However, Harvey was the shining beacon of hope for me. His perspective got me through the frustrating times that Levi, Enne, and Lola put me through!

The game element of this book was very intricate and very engaging. However, it could get to be like a merry go round at points and if you weren’t paying attention, it was a little insane.

Overall, this series has been an amazing ride and I’m so glad I picked it up!
