The War of Two Queens
War is only the beginning…
From the desperation of golden crowns…
Casteel Da’Neer knows all too well that very few are as cunning or vicious as the Blood Queen, but no one, not even him, could’ve prepared for the staggering revelations. The magnitude of what the Blood Queen has done is almost unthinkable.
And born of mortal flesh…
Nothing will stop Poppy from freeing her King and destroying everything the Blood Crown stands for. With the strength of the Primal of Life’s guards behind her, and the support of the wolven, Poppy must convince the Atlantian generals to make war her way—because there can be no retreat this time. Not if she has any hope of building a future where both kingdoms can reside in peace.
A great primal power rises…
Together, Poppy and Casteel must embrace traditions old and new to safeguard those they hold dear—to protect those who cannot defend themselves. But war is only the beginning. Ancient primal powers have already stirred, revealing the horror of what began eons ago. To end what the Blood Queen has begun, Poppy might have to become what she has been prophesied to be—what she fears the most.
As the Harbinger of Death and Destruction.

My Thoughts
WOOOOOOOOOOOOW WHAT A CRAZY RIDE…
I have missed these characters so freaking much and am so glad I binged the series again before reading because there was A LOT going on!
Ms. Armentrout is such an amazing storyteller that takes us on such amazing journeys time and time again. This book was a masterpiece and I’m very angry about all the negativity surrounding the book….
I’m sorry to say that a lot of people are prudes that can’t accept all aspects of love and life….
What I mean by this is…
I’m very upset about all the one star reviews people are giving this book…. It’s mind boggling to me. The story is FREAKING FANTASTIC… It had all the amaziness of the books before it… Why did so many people go from 5 stars…. To 1… it makes no sense and made me so sad.
SOMETHING that has been hinted at time and time again, finally took place and people are upset about it….
If you didn’t see that coming or you don’t see the powerful and beautiful connection the three of my favorite characters share…. You are dense and probably should read the series again. It’s all there in black and white. It all just finally came to a head in this book and you were forced to deal with it… boo hoo…
All I have to say is… if Cas has no problem with the situation… Why should you? I mean we might not have read the same book, but he seemed to enjoy himself in my opinion and it didn’t change anything between him and Poppy….
SO… GET OVER YOURSELVES…
Also… Kieran is one of my favorites and I always have enjoyed his adorable banter with Poppy and Cas.. This aspect has not changed throughout the entire series… Poppy is a young and sheltered female that is finally getting to experience life…. If she has mixed feelings.. So what! Leave her alone…
CAS DOESN’T CARE SO WHY DO YOUUUUUU!?! (OMG I’m just so annoyed because JLA doesn’t deserve all this backlash!)
IN other news… There were so many aspects I enjoyed about this book.
Poppy continues to be such a delight to follow, but we definitely saw a much darker and deeper side to her in this book. She is faced with many obstacles of identity and her struggle to overcome what she is and who she is. I loved it and I was rooting for Poppy the entire time. Even though we see a darker side to Poppy, her constant questions just make me laugh. Oh Poppy is also such a bigger badass and I was obsessed.
Cas is perfection as always.
Kieran… I need to see inside his head because OMG I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS… I know he would be annoyed by that but it’s his own fault for being so mysterious… OMG I love him so much.
However, the true highlight of this book was….. REAVER…
OMGGGG REAVERRRRR has stolen my heart. That ruthless firebreather is amazing and I love him. He is who I aspire to be in life.
The only part that I was just a little disappointed about was… the duh duh part everyone is so mad about. I thought it could have been a little longer… I mean I have been waiting for this moment for like three years… it could have been longer. However, it was very satisfying and I’m so happy it finally happened because the will they or won’t they thing was killing me inside.
Overall, this book was an amazing addition to the series and I have no idea where this book will go next. But I’m looking forward to the ride!
