Top 5 Reads of August - Becca In A Book

I have read so many reads month and am so happy my reading streak is continuing to flourish. I read so many amazing reads this month, but these five were books I could NOT shut up about.

The Traitor Queen by Danielle L. Jensen

OMG THIS DUOLOGY WAS AMAZING! I was so obsessed with the story and the minute the first book was over, I needed to read the next book immediately. BOY I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! Omg from the very beginning this book was so good and it just kept going and going and going and GOING and it was all so damn good! There was action, there was angst, there was steam, and there were so many crazy twists. I loved this fantasy book world and I was so impressed for the whole damn read!

Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton

DAMN THIS BOOK WAS DOPE! I loved this book so much and it was such a wonderful surprise. I honestly didn’t know what to expect and the shock of it all was something I haven’t felt about a book in a long time. It was kinky as all get out, but the story was so good as well which after reading a lot of dark romance, that doesn’t always happen. The story was mysterious, funny, witty, sexy, and I honestly found a new kink that I didn’t expect I would like…. Especially after Edward and his stalker vibes. Zade can stalk me anytime!

The Butcher of Mounts Bay series by J. Bree

This prequel was everything I wanted and so much more. It gave readers much more insight and another perspective on the wonderful and dangerous world of Mounts Bay. I fell in love with the Butcher of Mounts Bay so much harder and faster than I thought and his other half stole my heart as well. This story was so much more than I thought and I was just in awe of it all. It was a story full of steam, revenge, violence, and I was here for it all!!

Angel Unseen by J. Bree

Yes….. another J. Bree book, but I DON’T CARE because this girl can write and I just love everything she does. This book did not disappoint at all because GIrlLlLLL this book was a steamy and crazy MC romance. It was gritty with just a cool concept and even better characters. This book has left me satisfied, but it has left me wanting so much more as well. The steam was straight up amazing as well. OH SO GOOD AND I WANT MORE!

The Plate Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG THIS SERIES WAS STRAIGHT UP MAGIC! I have seen it everywhere on bookstagram and finally bit the bullet and read it. OMG I am so happy I did, but I am so sad I did at the same time because I devoured the series and now I have to wait until the next book comes out…. IN MAY! What the actual hell.!?! No one warned me about this and I am so so sooooo sad. I NEED THE NEXT BOOK SO BAD!
