Two for Roughing is the third installment in the Snow Pirates series. This book can be read as a standalone because each book of the series focuses on one player of the Snow Pirates team. I have read both of the other books as ARCs and am in love with this series and these fun and lovable characters.

I was soooo excited for this book! I have been in love with Molly since the very first book and I couldn’t wait to see her life through her perspective. I also have been in love with the fun and flirty character of Finn too, so I was anxiously waiting for their happy ending to finally happen.

Although I loved the story and I loved the happy ending, I felt like something was almost missing from their progression to get to that HEA. There was so much angst and so much sadness, but I wish the author had highlighted their dating life a little bit more until the epilogue. As they always say, “the fun part is getting there,” and this book sort of lacked that fun. I mean don’t get me wrong, there were fun parts, but they were kind of far and very inbetween, especially for these fun loving characters.

One thing I enjoyed IMMENSELY is that the author stood up the patriarchy with Molly’s character. Molly went with the flow and did what she wanted, but was always upfront and honest about her thoughts and opinions. She enjoyed sex and embraced those that did and didn’t equally and was persecuted by for own brother for it. Also, Finn was such a supportive and amazing male fighter of the patriarchy and I LOVED IT!

This romance had so many amazing nuisances that I really LOVED, but it almost took away some of the fun parts of a progressing relationship. Maybe if the author hadn’t included so much angst, it would have been a perfect balance for me.

Overall, this book was a fun and unique romance worth waiting for. I can’t wait to read another installment of this wonderful series.
