My Top 5 Reads of March

I had a great reading month by finishing 29 books! I got to read some ARCs and have some amazing buddy reads with some amazing bookstagrammers. I also finished the Shadow Game series and the Stalking Jack the Ripper series. Although I enjoyed a LOT of the books I read this month, there were five that really stood out to me and I enjoyed above all. Gypsy Truths by Kristy Cunning  In the conclusion of the All the Pretty Monsters series, everything comes to a head and our favorite weirdo gets her happy ending with her obsessive and adorably sexy men. This series was a one that was filled with…

    The Blood Witch Review

Summary Lennox Osseous has just started getting adjusted to being the head Bone Witch in her family and then all hell has broken loose. Girl has been betrayed, but she is mad and ready for revenge. My Thoughts  I was so lucky to get the ARC ebook copy for an honest review because I have discovered a series that I truly enjoy and probably wouldn’t have found. In order to give this a true review, I had to read the first installment and this. I loved the first installment so much, but this second installment took a turn I NEVER expected. It was brutal, emotional, and threw me in such…

We’re on tour with The Blood Witch by Ivy Asher! Get your copy of The Blood Witch now! I never saw it coming…the bones…the magic…the betrayal. It’s no longer a question of who I can trust—the answer is no one. Now, it’s about survival. I’m in the heart of the Order, trying to solve a series of mysterious disappearances, while doing everything that I can not to become bait. It’s time to figure…

The Office: The Untold Story of the Greatest Sitcom of the 2000s: An Oral History

Summary In Scantron, Pennsylvania, there is an ordinary office with the boring job of being the middleman between paper wholesalers and consumers. However, this office is full of quirky and loveable characters that are both relatable and addicting to watch. This is the story of how the show, The Office, became one of the best sitcoms of the 2000s.  My Thoughts  This book is a read that is an absolute MUST if you are a fan of NBC’s, The Office or if you are interested in getting into it. I loved this read so much and it was completely fascinating to me from beginning to end. I loved getting a…

    Cat’s Cradle

Summary Dr. Felix Hoenikker’s entire life revolves around science his whole life and when he died, he left something a little special for his children. A writer interviews his family and discovers that their father’s last gift may be more harmful than helpful.  My Thoughts  I’ve been a fan of Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and his crazy and outrageous stories for a long time. I mean I read most of his books in college so unfortunately this book was a LOT for me. It really took me back to the days of my college literature classes so it was an adjustment to read this over my normal romance, fantasy, and thrilling…

    Good Neighbors

Summary In a Long Island suburb, on Maple Street, the Wilde family moved to start a new life. They expected friendly and educated neighbors that would welcome them with pies and street bbqs. However, a sink hole appears and Maple Street turns into a dangerous place for the Wilde family. My Thoughts  This book is why the idea of suburbia scares people. Suburbia can be such an amazing thing where families can thrive in a happy and healthy dynamic. However, suburbia can also become such a powerful and terrifying way for people to come and hate one another because of the tiniest difference. Good Neighbors is a prime example on…

    Glitter Series

Summary In the Palace of Versailles, the people live very different lives. They live the life of those from the distant past where Marie Antoinette said, “Let them eat cake,” and the people lived the life of luxury at the expense of others. When Danica, a low member of these out of touch members, sees something horrible, her mother will use that to her advantage and make her rise in the ranks, no matter if she wants it or not.  My Thoughts  This was such an interesting concept for a book and knew from the beginning that I just had to read it! The book world in this series is…

    Covet

Summary Grace has been through a whole lot since she started attending Katmere Academy. She is so close to graduation, but everything from her mate to the Circle are threatening her plans for the future. Will her and her friends survive until graduation or will they continue to be in danger all the time? My Thoughts  So this series took such a dramatic and interesting turn during the sequel that I was so excited for this book and what would happen. It took so long (in my opinion because I am impatient) for the book to come out and when it did I was so excited. This book was a…
