My Top 5 Reads of August
I can’t believe it’s already the end of August! Time has just been flying.
This month was an amazing month for me because I finally started my book blog. It has been such an amazing journey and I am so thankful for my husband’s thoughtful birthday gift!
However, it wasn’t a super productive reading month, but I still managed to finish 22 books! I also managed to be in a couple readalongs and have met some amazing bookstagrammers that have become amazing supporters!
Here are my top five reads from August!

Fragile Eternity
This book is the third installment of the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr. I love the magical world of Marr’s interpretation of fairies. There is so much internal and external struggle between all the characters that is heartbreaking, but I could not put it down.

Empire of Storms
This book is the fifth installment of the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas and it was a thrilling and action packed addition to the series. All of the characters managed to truly develop and all the moving parts of the series are coming together in a beautiful and circular way. I’m continually obsessed with the main character Aelin and can’t wait for the final installment in the series.

Serpent and Dove
The book was a reread for me and introduced a world of witches that is both unique and derived from the Spanish Inquisition. I loved the book world and I was obsessed with the main character Lou and her forbidden love with Reid. I can’t wait to read the next installment that is coming out next month.

The Witches of New York
I was obsessed with this representation of witches and the beauty of sisterhood between three female witches living in 1800s New York City. I loved the descriptions of sights, smells, and tastes of the witches’ shop and their surrounding neighborhood. The narrator of this audiobook was also very engaging and it was a joy to listen to.

Tower of Dawn
I was actually happily surprised by this book and I had to have it in my top five. In the sixth installment of the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, the plot centers on my least favorite character of the series, so i thought I was going to hate it! However, I fell in love with a new set of characters and it was a nice break from the heartbreak in the previous installment of the series.
