Book Review

The Dancer and The Masks

Christy was stolen by The Masks. She will do anything to be free, but something might be awakened inside her by them that she never knew.

My Thoughts

What the fuck did I just read..?

Like WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK DID I JUST READ?!?! HOLY BINOCULARS!

This book was such a crazy ride that I didn’t want to get out of…. I was absolutely hooked by the very first page and the author kept me there until the very end! I was stunned, shook, overcome with crazy, possessed, and DEVASTATED when I read the last page.

WHY WOULD THIS AUTHOR DO THIS TO ME!?!? I think this author and the author of Psychos must be besties because both of their endings were meant to destroy readers that don’t have the next book handy.

NOW… I honestly don’t know how I feel and my mind is all tangled up by this CRAZY READ. Part of me wants Christy to just go with the flow and give herself to the masks and another part of me is like, “stab them all and see how they like being treated like nothing.” I just have no idea where this book is going to go. It was so insane and probably one of my favorite reads of the year. I need the next book as soon as possible!

Christy really grew on me during this read because I DID not like her at first… I thought she was going to be this whiny girl, but SHE KICKED ME IN THE TEETH AND PROVED ME SO WRONG! OMG I LOVED HER SO MUCH!

I wanted to give a standing ovation at the very end of the read because boy did she prove me wrong with that performance. (I don’t want to spoil this amazing moment for you, all I can say is, Christy gave it to them GOOD!)

Go my dark romance lovers (this book has so many trigger warnings and is not for the faint of heart FYI!) please pick up this read and suffer with me because… I am going insane and I need to take you all with me!!!
