The Dark Side Series

Summary

One day a ghost girl appears in a house with four broody men. They can’t see her, but she can see them and all their outrageous and sexy antics. She is a girl with a plan, she will become a real girl, convince those bratty boys to pick her for their toy and eat some gosh darn popcorn.

My Thoughts

I read this series a LONG time ago and it is still one of my favorites. It definitely has something for everyone and it made me crave some popcorn like no one’s business…. This author is a genius when it comes to very complex storylines and hilarious main characters. I need more books from this author because she definitely creates worlds that are like no other.  I was just in love with all the characters and all the crazy antics that ensued throughout the four books. If you are looking for a funny and quick reverse harem series, then this series is the one for you!

OMG THIS SERIES WAS SO GODDAMN FUNNY. I seriously think I was laughing at every single page. OMG so many characters just did not give a crap and they just made the weirdest and most outrageous puns and suggestions and I literally was just dying the entire time. This author, I cannot say enough. No one other makes me laugh as much as Kristy Cunning does. It was just so wacky and out there in the best way and I just wish that was more books. I just couldn’t get enough of Paca and her insane and very cute thoughts.

This plot line takes dark things such as demons, Hell, hellhounds, the four horsemen, the devil and his children and turns them into these hilarious and fun characters. I just loved the unique take of it all. The seven deadly sins were converted into such a unique way and I was in love with it all. These characters are supposed to be devilish and evil, but this author turned them into these very kooky and unpredictable characters that I just loved so much.  I also loved the main characters and her very interesting men.

Paca is the most insane and hilarious character I have ever read. She just is so blunt and out there that you could not help, but love her and her crazy dialogue. I mean she just spoke her mind ALL THE TIME and I just loved her and her reactions to things. My husband is obsessed with popcorn so her equal obsession just was the icing on the cake to her hilarity and her loveableness to me.

Her men however were a little meh. I mean I liked them and all, but they weren’t my favorite. I mean I liked them, but I definitely picked favorites and I felt like they honestly DID NOT deserve my girl Paca. They just needed to get their heads out of their butts and realize that Paca was adorable and so much better than them and they should’ve worshipped her in all the ways possible. Also, Jude could literally go away… he seriously did NOT deserve this beautiful soul and he needed to get a punch in the balls. He was just so poopy!

However, the steam my smutty readers was real real REAL good! I mean so much great group play and some blindfold action….. UMMMM YES PLEASE. I could almost forgive these boys for their stupidity because at least they got that right….

The series was mostly told through Paca’s point of view, but the last book of the series gave readers the gift of multiple points of view of her and her men. I just wish that the whole series could have been written with the boys point of view as well. It would have shed more light on the plot overall because there were just so many plot holes. I just felt like the storyline itself was a little disjointed and all over the place. I just felt like the author focused a little too much on the hilarity of characters and could have spent more time on the book world and the plot. I mean I honestly didn’t care because I just loved Paca so much.

Overall this read was just so fun and I loved it so much!
